Re: Medical Laboratory Technologists in Singapore

Hi there, I understand there is a contraction in the hiring of foreigners in the public healthcare sector. Having said that, the newer Hospitals are operating far from capacity, so there would be room for growth should there be a significant increase in patients. Private sector has some movements af...

Re: How to deal with companies that insist on seeing your payslips before making an offer?

Screw the recruiter and demand what you expect. I had recruiters blow smoke up my jacksie with assurances that prospective employer has the Budget, only for the offer to come through completely below my expectations. The recruiter probably has been assuring the employer that your expectations will b...

Re: Triple nationalities, NS?

Simple question, are you trying to avoid your son doing NS or not? No - get his citizenship and let him do NS in the future. Yes - nobody can predict an unimpeded future adult working life in Singapore if he does not do NS. Policies can change in the future to be even more harsh to those born of a S...

Re: Use this to announce PR application success

Your problem will be that the vast majority who obtain PR may never actually participate in this forum. You will thus end up with a horribly skewed dataset that would not shed a comprehensive picture anywhere close to what you hope this exercise will achieve. In addition, you would have no way to fi...

Re: PR application 3rd time reject - how to improve my profile

You did request for honest answers. Getting married and procreating is a viable option for many. Singapore has a Low birthrate and welcomes all attempts to boost it. However, you seem most reluctant to consider this route for PR, so not many options left to show your investment to the future of Sing...

Do you see any other viable options? Change jobs with significant increment, or get rich and invest in Singapore.

Re: Chances of PR

No guts, no glory.

There is ALWAYS, a chance of success, like the lottery and like the casino.

“You will miss 100% of the shots you never take”

Even if you fail, there are no serious repercussions (I.e. deportation)

Re: PR - How low are my chances?

Chances are probably as good or better than winning the lottery.

I was rejected 6 years ago, then gotten approval. So things may have changed now, but may also change in the future.
