Another question has just cropped up: I am being slightly pushed by Mitchville to bring the cats not as Cargo but as Excess Baggage. My understanding is that while it may be shorter to get them 'cleared' at Changi when they are Excess Baggage, I cannot get a guarantee from KLM that they will be on t...

Thanks for the idea; I am using Mitchville (rather frustrating too) and have been rebuffed with the idea of getting own transport. I will pursue this further now however! Good to hear about KLM too; I think it will be worth the extra length of journey...

Pet quarantine booked, now need advice on airlines!

We will be flying our 2 cats (together, in 1 crate, they comfort each other) from Vancouver to SP at the end fo the month. Relocating, cat importation for cat who has vaccine reaction

I"ve posted this on another thread as well as am a bit desperate about the latest development! One of my cats to be imported to S. from Canada had an allergic reaction after his rabies shot a couple of weeks ago. The vet told me he should not have another as it may be lethal. Does anyone know to who...

Relocating, cat importation for cat who has vaccine reaction

Does anyone have experience importing a cat from N.America with a cat that had an allergic reaction to it's first rabies vaccine? I don't want him to have another rabies shot on arrival to the quarantine station (standard procedure) as his next shot might be lethal (according to our home vet). I thi...
