Re: Doesn't Harry like Indonesians?
Firstly, if your presence on this board was less incidental you would notice that there are hardly anybody from the regulars that questions the practicality of the SG government. So in general you brought in a heavy artillery to kill a non-existing target. Instead, what has been repeated here many ...

Re: Doesn't Harry like Indonesians?
It's a damn shame not to be able to use them in Singapore. My 5 cents: I like Singapore as it is now and I think the gov. does everything right. Should we have more people from some country? May be okay, but I think those people who take decisions are not motivated by racial views, but practical. Y...

This will keep up until a number of MNC shift their operations to Malaysia and/or Thailand because of labour costs One of the main niche of Singapore outsourcing work from one country to another (not always from company to company). This is manly because it hard to apply for a work permit for smart...

Fixed. And yes, IOP's statements are unwarranted... flying is far safer than driving a car, riding a bus. There's only one reason to run two engine planes, and that is economics. Depends... some airlines always have many incidents, some just a few, like BA. There's only one reason to run two engine...

Check here for aircraft accident stats. Neither the Boeing 777 nor the Airbus A330 have ever had an incident. http://www.airdisaster.com/statistics/ SE, I think perhaps you meant to say "Neither the Boeing 777 nor the Airbus A380 have ever had an incident [involving loss of life]." Sadly the A330 h...

Thanks IOP, next time I have to fly with business on the A380, I will be terrified that it's not safe! Perfect, my choice is limited by my company using solely SIA and the fact they run A380's on some of the routes I need to take. As if I didn't dislike flying enough already. :( :( Probably, the li...

IOP, why do you insist on coming out with wild statements like "Airbus 380 is unsafe", when you have absolutely no evidence to support that assertion? This is just like the earlier thread when you made various bizzare statements about Scoot . What are you trying to achieve by this? Mi Amigo, your q...

Aircrafts like this one should be extremelly safe and provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in all-economy class configurations http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A380 Because the carry lots of passengers. Can you, guys, imagine a single crash wi...

My opinion is that no one on this forum is qualified to actually have an informed opinion on this topic :D That said, I prefer Boeing usually, except for the single-aisle short-haul A319/320/321 being nicer than the 737. Of course, that could be because the airlines I'm used to flying the 737 tend ...

Airbus 380 is unsafe
Interestingly, he says that the one aircraft that all pilots he has met dislike unanimously is the Airbus 380. "We think it hasn't been tested enough, and that it's simply not as safe."

I'm looking forward to the change. Everywhere has its cultural quirks and I'm sure I'll grow to loathe aspects of Singapore. :D If you have any more questions about Norway, feel free to PM me or post in this thread. Good luck with your change. by the way, what is your opinion - are Norse opened and...
