Re: PR application rejected

Applied for PR in April and got rejection mail this week. I understand that my stay in SG is probably too short when I submitted the application (only 8 months), but is it ever possible to get PR nowadays while being single? If I reapply in 2 years with no improvement in family status, what are my ...

Re: EP or nah? HELP NEEDED!!

Hi all, I'm a fresh grad from SMU (BBM degree) and a recipient of the MOE Tuition Grant (my bond is 3 years). I was offered a job at a small media firm, and they promised me 3.6K as starting salary. I accepted the offer, and they applied for an E-Pass. My in principle approval was also received. A ...

Re: Chances of approval for work permit by MOM

I'm a Western cook, previous and upcoming job(but different company). I'm Malaysian WP holder. I had been removed by ICA, so I need a local citizen or local company's sponsorship to re-enter SG. So how can anybody here help? Just wondering.. Shouldn't you find a job and then get the employer to do ...

Re: New Here. Looking For Friends :)

Hi Everyone, I am in SG as a part of an exchange. Been here for more than a month now. Given I spend most of my Uni time working in the lab I am finding it hard to meet people outside. ](*,) It would be awesome to know some new people to hangout with (food/coffee/roaming around). I am excited about...

If you go to the AMS to list yourself as UNEMPLOYED...what is the procedure.

Do you get HEALTH insurance from the state since you are in the process of looking for a job.

How does that work?

Why not collect with existing company Details?

And why not get the papers signed by the employer?

Only the idiot employers will refuse to sign.

In which case you can produce your pay slips as proof of employment..

Re: Work options for foreign part-time student

Well, that definitely paints a different picture of the job market in Singapore than what I had in mind. EP seems out of reach. What about getting an internship and a Work Holiday Pass ? Same problem ? I know at least three foreign students who have taken an internship here, so it's definitely not ...
