Exactly,
however, this time I have 90 days in my pass,
which should be sufficient to apply and await LTSVP approval again, right?
The secretary will start to hate me...

news from MOM

In response to my e-mail questioning how I could speed up my EP application process I received a call from a MOM Official. She told me that my EP application will NOT be considered or looked at as long as my LTSVP is approved! I should ask the sponsoring company to withdraw the LTSVP first (which mi...

thanks,
yes that is the kind of thing I had expected the ICA to do, didn't work for me because I was relying on the "you have 30 days to leave the country" card that was terminating, rather than a tourist stay or short term visit pass, and this is apparently not extendable...

creative solution - not ideal

in a similar situation my employer suggested to fix me up with an EP on minimum salary (I think it's 2600 fixed income a month) and then count the hours I worked (based on an hourly rate) against that income - I fully trusted him and worked whenever there was something for me to work on. In the end ...

thanks sms, that was really helpful! I will be patient then. I had read somewhere here that the manual application should be visible in the system after about a week, I had taken it to the Singpost counter on the 14th. correction regarding the LTSVP - I left it with secretary to post it at the 11th,...

Today my LTSVP (as common-law-spouse) was approved! That was much faster than I assumed (applied on the 14th of August), and it contained a mistake (if the secretary hadn't corected it). So at least I don't have to worry about leaving and returning to SG again after only 4 days in Oz now. But due to...

yes, definitely have a plan B! I had my credit cards, and Embassy tel number (as well as documentation for my case) with me. The backpack was packed, ready to stay for 5 days (but I left it at home, I didn't want to pretend I am leaving for good or anything, I wanted to go shopping only), I would ha...

thanks again for your valuable advice, but I was already on my way to JB when you posted this, I am afraid. I didn't see any other way other than maybe taking my son and leaving into an unplanned vacation without dad, not ideal. But I made it back ok, I got my 90 days stamp and was back at child car...

Thankyou for the clear message! just some short questions: - if I were allowed to apply for a social visit pass with sponsor, would I have wait for the outcome of this in order to stay and how long would it take? - if I left to JB for a couple of hours today or tomorrow are there chances that I coul...

-?-

Hey guys, calm down please. I am sorry that you got me completely wrong here! I am (!) grateful for advice and the time you spend here for helping others. I am glad that this forum exists and I was only adding potential useful information to the stream, when I was back from ICA. For that I was then ...

to mad sientist

...actually the LTSVP (at least the one for common-law spouses) is not in the responsibility of the ICA but the MOM as well as the EP application, I was told by the officer at the ICA today. At the ICA they refer to it as a dependant's pass. As such it is not their business, unless (!) the unmarried...

hm...given that I have to probably stay abroad until the approval letter arrives I might not want to risk that the EP Online application does not work after all and then the manual one would have been cancelled...

Dear sms, I don't know what experiences you made through your life to give you this rather zynical view on others, but I can reassure you, this was not a gamble: I received my Visit and Embarkation pass stating that I am allowed to stay until the 20th only at Tuesday the 27th as e-mail attachement. ...

Hi sms, I had seen that text and it is exactly that which I find misleading: it gives 2 conditions with an "or" connection. Hence fulfilling one of the conditions should be sufficient. I have a new EP application pending (well, I took it to the post last Sat, maybe that's different??), so I figured ...
