Re: Reentering Singapore without IPA letter

Assuming that you are a malaysian. If you have not stayed here in SG for long on Social Visit Pass, you can go back to your home town in malaysia and come back as a vistor again after 1 week. That should be OK? Why do you want to stay in SG till you get your EP Result? What is the motive? Why cant ...

Re: Reentering Singapore without IPA letter

Hi, my employer has just started to apply EP for me but my social visit pass is ending soon. I am planning to either leave Singapore to JB for half a day then reenter Singapore again on the same day, or go back to my hometown in Malaysia for a week. My question is, does the immigration allow me to ...

Re: SC Chances

I see no reason why you shouldn't apply but I also so no real need for SC in your case. Are you REALLY going to stay here the rest of your lives? I doubt so and I suspect so will ICA. SC is for folk who plan to permanently locate in Singapore it seems. Yeah, I figured. They'd be puzzled and probabl...

Office at Paya Lebar - where to rent?

Hi, I, along with my husband and 1.5 yr old child will be relocating to Singapore this month end. My office is at Paya lebar, while husband is yet to find a job. Re: Working in Singapore but staying at Johor

Be careful, what you are doing is highly illegal. I'd be careful of that employer as he's hiring illegal workers (you). By law you cannot work until you have a valid work pass. There is NO grace period while waiting for an EP/S/WP. Doesn't matter if it's EP, S or WP. IF you are on an Employment Pass...

Tax Clearance

Hello, referring to my post here https://forum.singaporeexpats.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=131267 I have worked one month for my ex-employer and was asked to resign without any notice. They did not file the IRAS for me and I got full salary for the month. I have got a job offer and the prospective empl...

Re: NS Bond for kids (NS intended).

The 8 and 11 YO could get out of NS but your wife (as your surmise) would certainly need to begin migration proceedings as well. Also it closes the door to Singapore for your boys. SMS covered it correctly. @MadScientist has pointed out before that you should set the exit permit for one day short of...

Re: PR application by Ex SPR

The rejection was probably due to the fact that you were not in Singapore more than 90 days in a year. AND When you were overseas, you probably were not on the Singapore payroll, hence not considered to be an expat from Singapore (many companies did that during the crisis to reduce costs). They are ...

Re: Back in SG after EP cancellation

I need help! I cancelled my EP in May. I am now back in Singapore as a tourist. Can I stay 1 month or 3 months? (I am Swiss citizen) Thank you for your help! Did you check your passport on how many days they have given? The immigration stamp will indicate on how long you can stay in SG as a tourist
