Re: Back in SG after EP cancellation

I need help! I cancelled my EP in May. I am now back in Singapore as a tourist. Can I stay 1 month or 3 months? (I am Swiss citizen) Thank you for your help! Did you check your passport on how many days they have given? The immigration stamp will indicate on how long you can stay in SG as a tourist

Re: Retiring in Singapore

While I have not been here as long as SMS, I did call Singapore home for 25 years as a PR. I like to pop into this forum occasionally to see how life is going on there. Leaving Singapore and retiring in the States was very difficult, and it took a 3 years or so to adjust to stateside living. When I ...

LTVP for parents as Singapore PR

Hi Guys. Me and my spouse are Singapore PR. I have a few questions on the LTVP process. 1. I am unemployed since 3 months. I would like to apply LTVP for my parents. Will my unemployment status impact their chances of getting the LTVP. 2. As i understand, they have to visit Singapore on tourist visa...

Re: Can I be exempted from NS?

I wouldn't count on it. The fact that they are not living in Singapore and he isn't schooling in Singapore I believe will not make any difference as while they technically haven't enjoyed the socio-economic benefits of being a PR, it WAS afforded to them for the whole period that they held the blue ...

Re: Pre-marriage LTVP (Female SC+Nepali)

HDB means naught. Frankly, I'd not bet a wooden nickel on you getting a PLTVP. You do not earn earn enough to support a family and he has neither the academic qualifications or salary to qualify for anything except a Work Permit if he's lucky. I say, if you really love him, be prepared to immigrate...

Re: Relocating to Singapore

What is an SME? Unless you have a job offer from a Singapore based company or an MNC with a Singapore subsidiary, it's not going to happen. Open a business? Do a search of Strong Eagles' posts here in the Business forums to see how much money is involved and the likelihood of success or maybe I shou...

Re: Must a DP holder stay in Singapore?

You are not required to stay in Singapore. Your DP grants you residence rights in Singapore, tied to the EP with which it is associated. So long as the EP is in force, the DP is in force, and you can travel and live wherever you want.
