If you are coming from the US as your IP address indicates, it's doubtful you would be able to get into Singapore in any case. At least at the present time.

Serviced apartments are expensive. You're going to get a lot more space for your money for a private place. However serviced apartments are less troublesome for shorter leases.

I'm relocating to Singapore and and tossing between service apartment and private owned apartments. Looking for a 1.5 year lease, and my budget is SG$5,000 a month. Is it better to go for service apartments?
