Sure you can get married, but you don't need an LTVP as long as you are on an EP. What do you plan on doing after you are married? Quitting your job and letting your wife support you?

You can get married in sg and you are eligible for an LTVP. But LTVP approval is not guaranteed so try to keep your EP after getting married.

Thanks both of u for the reply. @sundaymorning M not gonna let my wife support me. But if lets say i want to change the job, still have to apply another EP. No guarantee can get approve or not. So my point here is if i get married while m on EP, can i instantly apply for LTVP, does my chances of LTVP approval are more than any other applicant who come on social visits.

Since you are on an EP, you cannot get an LTVP. Only one type of immigration pass is allowed per person. Sorry for not being clear on my earlier post. If you give up your EP, you can apply for an LTVP (sponsored by your spouse) but approval is not guaranteed.

Thanks Bro75 for the clear info. So until my EP is valid no problem. Once it expires, then i can apply for LTVP. Thanks buddy! Cheers

LTVP holders are not allowed to work. Only LTVP+ holders are allowed (need to get LOC). LTVP+ is only given to spouse of citizens.

Your 'EP is gonna finish', or your employment with your current employer?
If the former, the employer applies to renew the EP.
If the latter, you need to go and find yourself another job.

When you lose the job, your EP is canceled and you will be given an SVP of 30 days which you can try to find another job and/or make plans to return to your country if your application for an LTVP is unsuccessful.

Seems to be at odds with the official version of things.
http://www.ica.gov.sg/news_details.aspx?nid=12665 (see question 10).
But anyways, there are always exceptions. This could be one of them.
