I am thinking of moving onto another company within Singapore. However, I was wondering if I would need to go for another medical check-up to get a new Employment Pass with another company.
I am currently holding a EP with my current company.
Yes, you need an new EP, as the old one is only valid for working with the one company stated on it.
Please note that the new EP can be rejected, and that your current employer will know about it (i.e. that you are trying to leave), so you might end up without job and have to leave Singapore.
MoM doesn't like job-hoppers, so if you only stayed in your last job a short time (say a year or less), this will count against your application. Other factors out of your control (e.g. if the new employer has space in his foreigner quota, or if there are locals who yould do the job) can also lead to a rejection.
He's asking if he needs another medical test. Well, the medical test has a certain validity period (18 months if I don't remember wrong), so everything depends on the date of the previous one.
If your last pass was issued, let's say, 10 months ago, and you get a new EP under another company, you won't need to go for it. If your last pass was issued 2 years ago, you will need it.
If you get the in-principle approval letter with the new company, there it will be stated which kind of test are needed (if any of them)
