shaziiee Newbie Joined: 13 Nov 2006 Posts: 3	Posted: Mon Nov 13, 2006 12:14 pm    Post subject: Need Condo/apartment on rent I am from India (New Delhi), by profession Software Engineer, I am moving to Singapore by the end of Nov06, I am looking for one furnished apartment/Condo for rent, I am married (no kids yet), so staying with my wife, my office is in Tampines Junction, so I will prefer to stay near by this area and my budget is MAX SD 1000, could anybody help me. Thanks

Posted: Mon Nov 13, 2006 12:25 pm    Post subject: I don't think you can get a condo for S$1000, and over that I got to know that the rents are going higher again. I live in a good/new HDB, fully furnished and paying a total sum of S$~1000/month. For tempnies area, may be ajit saar can give you a better idea. _________________ [SIMPLE-SENSE. ZERO-SCIENCE]

Thanks HDB ( Housing Development Board ) Block, more than 70% of the population in Singapore stay in these buildings. You don't get to have additional facilities like health club, swimming pool, 24 hrs security, parking lot etc.... Condominium housing rates are appreciating at 20% per annum. A 2 room condo will cost a minimum of S$1300/- in Tampines and I heard the rates have gone up now.There is nothing special of staying in a condo. You can stay in a fully furnished HDB appt around S$900/- to S$1000/-. Sicne you don't have any kids best option is HDB .... or if don't want your owner to interfere or check on you every month you can opt for a 4rm / 5rm about 125 Sq.m (1 master bed room, 2 Common Rooms, 1 study, 1 living, 1 Kitchen cum Dining, 1 common Toilet). unfurnished housing from Jurong Town Corpn (JTC) and furnish your home at less than 1500SGD. You can buy 2nd hand furnitures, which look as good as new. Some expats leaving Singapore donate it to Salvation Army , check at their warehouse. batli

Thanks Shaziiee I stay in tampines. Condo rents are definitely higher than 1500 in tampines and on the rise. Yes, an hdb option is more within ur budget, but hdb rents have also gone up is what i understand.... which company do u work for....a fully furnished HDB will also be more than 1000 SGD but again i think depends on size. Thanks
