The most ridiculously fake/inaccurate property photos thread

Post by zzm9980 » Sun, 27 Jan 2013 3:48 pm

Not until I moved to Singapore have I ever seen such ridiculously inaccurate renderings of properties that look so far from reality. This one today is just over the top though.

This is allegedly the intersection of East Coast Rd and Siglap:

So many things are wrong, but nothing like the sun setting in the south east?

I like the way they have shadows behind the 'chimney-like' rooftop projections down the left side, on the SAME side as the sun :?

They are always the only building in Singapore.... everything else is just verdant and unoccupied land in the pics.

Sunrise is almost straight east from there. And yes I know you're joking, but this is for the other posters who might take you at face value.

And it's so big! If we assume the distance from ECP to Eastcoast rd is to scale, the building would stretch from Eastcoast rd to PIE!

Like how interior decoration magazines have all sorts of appliances, gadgets on furniture but NO cords or cables!

I always laugh at the 2/3rd size beds they put in show-flats.

Oh here is another good one I receive a lot of junk in my mailbox for:

If it even remotely looked like that my deposit would be down already. That's Pasir Ris, so at least this artist got the sunrise in almost the right direction.

And look at how they image the residents dressing as they walk around the pool at night:

There is a new place with a 'club room' for rent for guests who are visiting to stay in by the pool. Can you imagine the squabbling over that?

Just saw this one. Look like the Google logo to anyone else?

Even more ridiculous is that it's a new condo on Lorong 24. Pretty much the grimiest Lorong in Geylang.

edit: looks like someone removed the images I linked. Google for "#1 Loft Lorong 24" and click a link to see what I'm talking about.

Have you seen some of the TV property ads? The people they show in those ads? They look really funny. They look like a cross between Ang Mohs and Chinese. I mean, they want the people in the ad to appeal to locals by have Ang Moh, looking like people, at the same time they dont want it to look that obvious. :D

-Yes, and that kind of styling tends to date quickly (hence become naff, and make your property relatively unattractive).

-Super-grimy, and yet they still manage to get 'The white Lambo Countach' into one of the pix.

For the OKT! According to a thread on condosingapore.com, this place's selling point is that it has one bathroom per bedroom, plus one more for every unit. They're calling it the Chicken Coop. :D
