Indoor play area - toddler friendly?

Post by wannamove » Mon, 21 Nov 2011 12:25 am

Do such places exist? The rain and humidity excuses are driving my toddler nuts - shopping and train rides do not excite her much. An indoor playarea to burn some energy would be great.

Somewhere in the East would be perfect.

TIA

Was also going to say Pollywogs but there is also JWT who have Open Play sessions about 2/3 times a week which is $10 for 1 hour. The other one which I really love is Singkids, the one nearest to us on the East Coast is at Terminal 3 at Changi Airport but they also have another centre at Vivo.

The other thing we do on rainy days sometimes which would involve a cab journey is either Royces at Liang Court or Amazonia at Great World City.

Thanks for the suggestions

I am looking for weekend options - how crowded are these places during the weekend?

If you go when these places first open, about 10.00am, it's not too bad. We have gone to Singkids at Vivo at 10.15am ish and it's great but by 11.30 is much busier but that's also a smaller venue than the one at T3.

New place open on 3rd level in Changi City Point (new mall next to Expo MRT) looks good, my kids are getting a bit past it, but it's also cheaper than Polliwogs!

Just tried looking for this on the web but couldn't find anything. Do you remember the name of the place?

I just remembered another one called Peek-A-Boo - It's at Kallang Leisure Park/Mall: http://www.peekaboo.com.sg/about.php Bit of a climbing/ball bit combo, may be a bit small depending on the age of your child.

Since you asked so nicely, I tried to find it myself... It's called The Petite Park - http://www.petitepark.com.sg/ - https://www.facebook.com/ThePetitePark?sk=info
Not much info on it yet by the looks of it, it's brand new, it's not huge, but I believe it's quite cheap ($8 for a couple of hours or something? Don't quote me on that!) - It's 2nd level not 3rd, 3rd level up from carpark ;)

Oh, also there is "Singkids Play system" at Changi Airport, my daughter loved that place when she was at Changi to see Barbie a few month ago with my wife! http://www.singkids.com.sg/ Terminal 2. (I took my son to see Formula Drift at the same time ;) )

Hope this helps.

I am a little concerned that my 2 year old will be too young for Peekaboo. Is it toddler friendly? Do they have a separate toddler area?

We checked the Petite Park last weekend - it is brand new and quite small but nicely set up. The $8 rate is weekday only and not valid on weekends.

You could try The Playhouse at Rochester Park. There's an indoor playhouse (hence the name... :D ) that's pretty nice: small slide and ball pool, play kitchen, dress-up area, train set, colouring area, see-saw, bouncy horses, etc. My girls (I have 3-year old twins) love it there.

Price isn't too bad. On weekends, it's $7 for the first hour and then another $7 for every subsequent half hour.

And it's attached to a pretty nice bistro. Food is rather pricey but decent (my husband is especially fond of their roast beef on weekends!). And what's especially nice is that they have children's tables and chairs. So your little tykes can have a table and chairs just their size, next to yours. :D

Just had a party at Peekaboo

Post by LovingMyLittleMan » Wed, 08 Feb 2012 5:04 pm

was delighted when I saw this post! went to Peek-a-boo http://goo.gl/EJYCu at Kallang Leisure Park last week for my kids birthday party and was quite good.

Personally preferred the drop-and-shop service too cos finally had 2 PRECIOUS HOURS for my husband and I to shop while my kids trashed the ball pools

Its like a small haven for shopping thank god![/url]
A kiss for my babies a day , keeps the doctor away from us !
